YuGiOh! Hero cards lot #Review #GoldenGroundhogYGOLots

So I have a friend, and my friend has a son who has a new hobby.  That hobby is cards.  Not just any cards, obviously, he likes YuGiOh! and Pokemon cards.  He keeps them in a binder with card protector pages and he is collecting feverishly.
It reminds me of back in the day when we used to go to the corner store by my grandmother's house and get packs of Disney trading cards.  We'd each get one and compare the princesses and such that came in them.  I miss those packs, though I think they're still sold somewhere.  However, YuGiOh! cards aren't trading cards such as those were, they are a card game that takes lots of strategy and skill, even lots of math.
But these are different than those.  These cards allow you to play with other card holders and you can battle each other.  It's actually pretty cool.  My husband and I got into Magic: The Gathering for a while and it's kind of like that, only for kids.  And it's all about the cards, my friends.  You have to have good cards so that you can have the advantage.
I was given a pack of 20 cards a couple weeks back, distributed by Golden Groundhog.  The cards were all YuGiOh! hero cards and they were all rares and foils.  Foils are the shiny graphic cards that light bounces off of, much like a hologram.  They are a definite must for any collection because seriously... who doesn't love something shiny?  There are lots of foils in this lot and there are quite a few rares.  You can see two of them in the image below, the Hero Flash card and the Hero Spirit card.
As you can see, the cards cover all six elements (fire, earth, water, wind, light, and dark), plus there are trap cards and magic spell cards as well.  This lot has a nice variety.
What I loved best about these cards is that six of them are 1st edition, making them worth more than cards that are printed later, the unlimited edition cards.  These cards were printed and sold in booster packs for a small period of time, after which they are printed as unlimited edition cards.  UE cards are not printed quite the same way, so they are worth less.  This set, with it's foils, it's rares, and it's great many 1st edition prints is a REALLY nice lot!
I absolutely recommend this lot to anyone with a YuGiOh! lover on their list this holiday season.  And at only $7.49 for all these amazing cards, you can't beat it.  Do you know someone who loves YuGiOh!?
