Beanie Hat and Scarf Set from Fuzzy Green #Review #BeanieScarfSet

     One thing my kids always get an abundance of every Christmas is hat, scarf, and mittens sets.  And that's okay, because we can use them, they get wet easily, need changing out frequently, and get lost easily.  It's a fact of life when you have little ones.  This year was no exception, though we did get fewer than usual... but each kid got at least one set.  I got two sets of gloves, Broofy got one, and Baby Bee got two sets.

     One of those is a beanie hat and scarf set from Fuzzy Green.  Remember them?  That's the company I got the skinny tie from.  Anyway, this set is super cute, let me show you.

     Let me clarify, the color of the items is like the professional photo above, not like the one of Baby Bee.  My bedroom light tends to make things more yellow.  But how cute is that, really?  The knit patterns are beautiful, the colors are bold and vibrant, and the little touches are so adorable!

      The hat actually resembles an artists' beret and could easily either be worn loosely as a beret or worn normal as a beanie, depending on your preference.  We prefer beret.  It has a super cute little bear/mouse accent in the front that is brown with a gold bow.  It also has a sizable dark purple pouf on top.

     The scarf is a really nice length and comes in matching colors.  Each end has a pink pouf to match the pink in the scarf and hat.  I like that the pouf on the scarf is not the same color as the one on the hat, it gives a nice amount of interest.

      The set is pretty warm and I've heard no complaints.  She chose to wear it on her own while indoors, so she must like it pretty well.  It fits her well, she's a small five year old.  I think these are just super cute and and I would recommend them.

Custom Dress #Review by #Suuchi

     I have a problem.  It's a heart problem, my blood doesn't oxygenate properly.  Or maybe it's the narcolepsy that runs in the family... maybe it's a combination of both.  But for some reason I can NOT stay awake without coffee.  I just can't.  If I go without coffee, I sleep all day long.  I might wake for an hour or two and possibly get something done, then it's back to sleep for several more hours.  In high school, I used to sleep from the moment I got home until the next day.  I remember my sister would bring my supper up to my room and I would wake only barely to take a bite.  The next time I woke, it would be cold, but I would take a bite again and fall back asleep.  I must have averaged 6 bites of each supper, but my mom would send it up every night anyway.

     Point is, I need coffee.  It's not an addiction, something I don;t need.  I need it.  But it's turned me fat.  I mean that nicely, I don't put myself down or anything, facts are facts.  None of my clothes fit anymore.  I'm somewhere between sizes too.  XL doesn't fit me great, but 2X is quite large on me.  So dressing myself is a bit of a downer, honestly.  But my new dress lifts my spirits a bit.  It's a custom dress made just for me!

     It's the shirt dress from Suuchi.com and I got to choose everything about it.  I chose the fabric and the measurements for each part if the dress.  Well, technically, I chose a couple options and let Baby Bee choose the final fabric.  She chose White Life in Dots.  I love it.

      It came really fast, even being custom measurements.  It was on my door stop in mere days.  It was wrapped nicely and looked great, it's ready to give away as a gift as soon as you get it.

     I was really surprised by the material, it wasn't a dressy kind of fabric like I thought it might be.  It's made of a thicker fabric, almost like thin canvas.

     It fit great.  In truth, the bust was a touch snug, but it would look fine with a tank under it and unbuttoned on that snug spot.  It was hard to measure myself and I ended up using the live chat to try to work through my ordering issues.  The girl I talked to was awesome.  I ended up telling her my measurements and I told her that I usually wear an XL, but the measurements for an XL were slightly smaller than my own.  I do plan to lose a few pounds when I get my treadmill in a few months, so that snug spot will hopefully be a non-issue anyway.

     I love the way the dress looks, I love the waist tie.  It gives the dress shape and something a little extra.  I think this is by far my favorite dress that I own because it was made for me.  There's no big cleavage issues, it's not made for tall people or thin people, it's made for me.  The fabric is something I love... it's just awesome.

Bear Tattoo Tights #Review #TattooLeggings

     Here at my house, we love dress-up.  I think we have more dress-up clothes than we do regular dresses.  And we have five girls in the house, so we have a lot of dresses.  That picture above... that shows maybe a quarter of our dresses.  I'm thinking more like a sixth.  And we have that many costumes.  We have one for each kid from each Halloween, roughly, plus extras we've grabbed along the way and been given over the years.  We don't often purge our costume pieces.

     You know who doesn't have many costumes?  Me.  I had a witch one that I think has been tossed out and I have my pirate wench one.  That's it.  Makes me sad.  I just got a little accessory that is kind of like dress-up though, so I'm expanding.  This wouldn't necessarily be for the kind of dress up you do with kids.  But I did get some cute tights for maybe an adult Goldilocks costume.  Wanna see?

      It's got bears on it!  Get it?  Of course you do, tell me that wouldn't be perfect!  They are tattoo tights from Babe Mall Inc and I just thought they were the cutest thing.  Babe Mall Inc has a whole selection of them, from cats to lace to skylines, even a couple with the eiffel tower.

     They're intended for size XXS to M, but I'm an XL and managed to squeeze it on.  I'd say that one should probably follow size recommendations on this.  Not that I look awful, I don't, but they are tighter than should be.  See the poor bear's head all stretched?  Yeah, not quite the cute look I'd go for.  No fear though because my treadmill comes in February.  Come June, I'll look just fine in them.  But just a head's up, it only comes in the one size.

     The black part of it is super shimmery and very black.  It's so pretty.  You can't really see through it at all.  The skin colored area is slightly darker than my skin, but I'm pretty pale.  I don't think anyone would notice that it was dark.  On other people it was too light.

     Where the top connects to the bottom, it's a little weird I think.  There is a clear seam in the middle of the bear's forehead.  The black nylon and the black paint don't mesh super well.  Not that the hues don't match, but the texture and such doesn't.  Also, the top part of the tights do not expand as well as the bottom, so if you have heavier thighs, they will be harder to squeeze on than you might be thinking.  Just a little personal experience for you *wink*

     I think these would make great addition to a grown-up dress-up chest, either for adult time with the husband or for costume parties, or some other fun time.  To learn more, check out Babe Mall Inc on Amazon.

FuzzyGreen Mens Black #SkinnyTie #Review

     This is The Big One.  She has a style that's... interesting.  Sometimes it's sporty, sometimes it's inappropriate and needs amending, sometimes it's wrong for the season and sometimes it's outdoorsy.   She considers herself a tomboy.  While I know that she loves sports, her love of other more manly things seems a bit fake. Like she really just wants her own identity in a house full of girls, even if it's not really true to who she is.  But her style is definitely more on the sporty tomboy end of things.

     Recently she mentioned wanting a tie or two to add to her outfits.  Well, Big One... wish granted.  For Christmas she will be getting a men's skinny tie from FuzzyGreen.  It's classic black, so it will go with pretty much anything.  I let the other girls try it on so they could help me test it out.

     I've learned that tying a tie is both super easy and incredibly difficult.  I don't think I will ever forget the steps because they are easy to remember, but to get it just right is terribly frustrating.  As you can see, I still have some perfecting to do.

     The tie was plenty long enough for an adult.  It is super shiny and looks great.  It's a skinny tie, so it's long and narrow, which I love.  It gives it a more sleek look.  To be a bit more specific, it's 2 inches wide.

      It's not a perfect product, there's minor imperfections here and there, but no one will ever notice them and for the price, you can't really beat it.  This tie right now is on sale for less than $7.  Do you know when the last time that I saw a tie in the store for less than $10 was..?  Neither do I!  That's because I haven't ever seen it, not even in Walmart.

     So there you have it, it isn't your top quality type tie, but if you need something affordable that looks nice... this is definitely a good option to go with.  The Big One is going to love it.  Do you like skinny ties or regular ties better?

Anytime Costumes Wicked Wench #Pirate Costume #Review

     Each year as Halloween gets closer and closer, I start to panic a little.  The idea of keeping track of all my kids in that type of environment and the thought of keeping track of all the costume pieces for the weeks leading up to it, then getting everyone dressed and out the door in orderly fashion... it stresses me out. I like simple.  I used to go all out and hand make all the costumes, but now I just want easy.

     So last year and again this year, I'm going to go with pre-made costumes.  I bought Boog a store made one, which of course didn't fit and certainly won't fit over warm clothes, so I'm returning it for another.  But min fits.  It fits soooo well.  It's the Wicked Wench costume from Anytime Costumes.  It's a plus sized pirate inspired women's dress.

     I was actually quite surprised by the quality of the costume.  Though it isn't handmade quality, it's far better than the junk you get at the mass market stores, like Walmart.  The first thing that I noticed about it was the quality.  I expected it to be cheap, honestly.  Though, this isn't the first time that I have gotten a costume form Anytime Costumes, so I'm not sure why I expected that.

     When I took it out of the package, I first noticed the bodice, it has a lovely textured fabric where the eyelets are.  It looks great and gives the feeling almost like it's a real dress, not just a costume.  The fabric below that is a soft velvety material that opens to reveal the skit beneath.  The skirt itself is shorter in the front and longer in the back. 

     The bust area and the inside of the bodice is an off-white, creamy color and is really nice  The scrunch on the bust area prevents too much cleavage from showing, while still being sexy.  Also something that adds some femininity, is the lacy sleeves that have slits on the ends and do not cover the shoulders.  Honestly, they were a touch on the scratchy side, so if you are hypersensitive to certain textures and such, this won't be something that you like on it's own.

     The costume has a zipper that covers the whole back area, down to the skirt.  I honestly didn't even need to use it, it was easy enough to just slip over my head.   Obviously, I'm gonna need some boots or boot shoe covers and a hat to complete the look.  Anytime Costumes carries that type of stuff and carries quite a large assortment at that.  I couldn't believe how many different styles of knee high boots and pirate hats that they had.

     Also, a note: I'm a pretty short girl.  So if you are looking at the above photo and thinking, 'Geesh, that looks a bit long!'  It's only because I'm so short.  I'm 5 even, if that.  But I love the way it looks, and I think you would too.  I'm very happy with it and it will stay in my collection of a very select few keeper-costumes.
