I wish I had a photo of what I look like every time I go to the beach or a soccer practice. Between the stroller and camping chair alone, I must look foolish. But depending on if we are at the beach or the field, I will have towels or blankets, water bottles or floaties, the camera, pen and paper to occupy the baby and probably several other things. Of course the kids don't want to help much. I must be a sight trying to juggle it all.
Well, I have the chair thing figured out. I'm just going to get a yoga mat strap and use it around the fold up chair and hang it from my stroller. It will make me a wide load, but at least I won't be picking the chair up off the ground every 20 seconds. But for the floaties or sports equipment, depending on the season, I'm gonna need something a little more like this Mesh Beach Bag by Fun Fitness
It's mesh, so any sand will fall through, even on the bottom. It's big, so it will hold anything you would probably need it to, up to 25 lbs. And it's drawstring, so it won't come open, the more items it has, the tighter the closure. And the cool thing about this bag is the way that it closes. As soon as you put it on your back, it will close because the shoulder straps are also the drawstring straps, but they are wide enough to be comfortable.
The bag isn't completely mesh, there's a small pocket on the outside that's perfect for holding onto things you don't want sandy, like your goggles or ear plugs. For sporting events, it's perfect for a mouth guard, gloves, or hair tie.
