VoiceQuilt - Mother's Day Genius: A Review and Giveaway!!!

What have you gotten your mother for Mother's day?  Jewelry?  Flowers?   Great!  She'll love them.  But if you haven't gotten her anything yet, why not give her something this year that is truly unique and one of a kind?  She gave you life, raised you up, gave endless love, time, and advice.  Show her what it means to you.  Tell her "Thank you".  But don't just tell her, tell her in a way that she can remember every day as often as she likes, over and over again.  Give her a VoiceQuilt for Mother's Day.

VoiceQuilt allows you, and anyone else you'd like, to call and leave a message for anyone of your choosing.  You can upload music of your choosing straight from your pc.  Whether you compose songs, write poetry, love to reminese or just have something on your mind... you can call as many times as you like and every message becomes a new track on your own personalized audio cd.

I was given the chance to check out VoiceQuilt and I am so excited about this.  I'm thrilled that I was given the opportunity.  Check out the quality:
My Mom, isn't she beautiful?

Sounds good, doesn't it?  Now imagine a whole playlist full of memories and thanks from everyone your mother loves the most.  And now imagine that playlist taking residence in something like this:
These boxes hold your playlist via memory card and plays it automatically when the box is opened, just like a music box!  Wanna see how it works?

And it's a perfect spot to keep all her Mother's Day treasures from other years.  This will run you $60 and up.  Too rich for your blood?  Economic times taking their toll?  No worries.  VoiceQuilt will send your mom the playlist by email for free!  Or you could choose something more like a memory card or flash drive for closer to $20.
VoiceQuilt has tons of ways to package your personal gift.  And right now, you can have a phone line free for a whole day.  If you plan right, that might be all you need to create the perfect playlist.  And VoiceQuilt lets you download the messages straight to your pc.  There is no risk or obligation to try it.  I'm glad I did.

The Spacestore is out of this world: A Review

The Big One has been a rock collector for a couple years now.  Pretty impressive considering that she is only 6.  She has collected everything from painted rocks to driveway rocks, polished rocks, and even half marbles.  Yeah, I know they aren't real rocks, but she likes them.

What rock makes every rock collection complete?  A rock from outer space!  That's right, a real shooting "star".  And at The Space Store, you can choose between a couple different space rocks.  The one above is a meteor endcut.  It has a rough side and a cut side, so you choose how to display it.  The leather box has a glass window and pins in the side that keep it from opening, which I love because it keeps the kids from getting into it.

The Big One loved it.  She couldn't believe she had a real shooting "star" in her collection.  She decided to display the smooth side that the glass didn't get scuffed, smart girl.

The Space Store has everything space.  Check this baby out:
Tell me that Halloween didn't just pop into your head just now.  I mean that costume would leave every other costume in the dust!

And for the die hard space enthusiast, nothing could beat an autographed photo of their favorite astronaut.  Buzz Aldren, anyone?
And that's not all.  The store just has a ton of space stuff, like everything you could want to decorate a room.  And they have great gift ideas, from glow in the dark stars, to posters, to globes, like these:
They hang in the air!  how awesome is that?  Any kid would love one of these.

I definitely recommend you check out The Space Store if you know anyone who is into space.  This site is great!  Or even if you have a rock collector :)

Do you collect anything?

Have a ball with Send A Ball: A Review

I don't think I have ever been so intrigued by a package in the mail before.  I was so excited to get my Send a Ball.  I secretly hoped that it would fit in the mailbox and the mail lady wouldn't have to drop it off at my door just so that The Big One could get it herself when she got off the bus.

It didn't work out that way.  The mail lady did indeed drive up the driveway to deliver it personally.  I think she must have thought I was a fool to get it in the mail, but I was so excited to see it.  Behold.... my mail:
And by mine, I of course mean the kids'... hehe.  Speaking of the kids, they were super excited when Send a Ball came.  It came in the mail just as it is, all blown up.  The ball is rugged and it seems to me that the quality definitely beats the pants off your local department stores.  In fact, I can see it hanging around for a few years, even with MY kids!  They played with it all afternoon, they were so happy.
Yes, they are outside with no shoes... we had amazing weather, and then 18 inches of snow in one day *sigh*

The ball made it through the storm just fine.
You can order a ball in lots of different designs.  From get well designs to belated birthday wishes, there are 8 designs.  But since one of them is customizable, the possibilities are endless.
Send a Ball is sent as just a plain ball, no box, no stuffing, no tape.  If it is shipped in the United States, delivery confirmation is available.  If shipped internationally, the ball comes still blown up, but in a bag and delivery confirmation is unavailable.  Each ball is $16 plus S&H.

Which ball is your favorite?

ebeanstalk.com is so easy: A Review

What brought me to ebeanstalk.com was their wooden puzzles, which The Streaker just can't get enough of.  She could do puzzles all day and every day.  And believe it or not, at only (almost) 3 years old... she is great at them.  But I quickly saw that ebeanstalk.com has so much more than puzzles.  They have a ton of wooden toys along with toys in every other category you can think of!  Check this one out... I love it!
You can find that in the toys for 3 year olds category.  And in the Pretend Play Toys category, you can find a TON of play sets for boys and girls.  From barn sets to playing doctor, and from kitchen play to car mats.  I think this is my favorite section of the site.
There is definitely a huge array of toys to be seen at ebeanstalk.com.  Their Travel toys have everything you could need for a trip and their Arts and crafts for kids has some really great art projects and stamp sets.  The site is almost never ending.

But don't let the amount of toys on the site scare you off.  Their website is super easy to navigate with a bunch of ways to look for just the right toy.  They have pop-open tabs for categories and age, along with other helpful tabs, like brands and wishlist, etc.  What I love best about the site is that you don't have to leave the page that you are on to add things to your checklist or to check out what other categories of toys there are.  It's always such a pain to have to hit the backspace when shopping to get to the list with all the types of toys.  This site doesn't put you through all that crap.  And do you know what I loved best?  I don't think in all my browsing that I saw a single toy that took batteries.  No... I don't think I did, but I guess I could be wrong on that.
In fact, the only thing that I saw that I wasn't completely impressed with is that when I wanted to find out what a specific toy was made of, I couldn't find it anywhere.  It looked like foam, but if it were plastic, I would have been much more likely to want it... but I had no way of knowing.  However, if you don't have kids that like to chew up foam, it shouldn't be a problem.  And with toys like these, it's worth checking out!
