Lift Care Extra Strength Lemon Essential Oil #Review #LemonOil

I'm becoming a little bit of an essential oil collector.  Did you know that essential oil can be used for anything from medical issues to cleaners to food enhancements?  They are so versatile and so awesome!  You can use them for tons of stuff!
One of the most useful, I touched on it a little this week already, is lemon essential oil.  It's one of those oils that tastes good, but has great health benefits too.  So this would be something you could use in a fish marinade, then turn around and disinfect the counter tops after cleaning up the mess you made while cooking it.
I recently got this Lift Care 5x Extra Strength Lemon Essential Oil and I'm excited to make lots of things with it.  So I thought I would share a little recipe with you.  It's a recipe that can be adapted to whatever suits you.  It's for coconut lemon flavored lip balm.  Here's what you do:
     Ingredients:
  • 2 Tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 Tbsp petroleum jelly
  • 2-5 drops 5x lemon essential oil
  • Lipstick to color (optional)
Take a small cup or baby food jar and place it in a bowl with a little bit of hot water surrounding it.  I think placing a baby food jar in a bowl and using Keurig water is perfect.  Add the coconut oil and petroleum jelly to the small inner container.  Leave it in the hot water until they become a liquid (this shouldn't take long at all).  Add a slice of lipstick if you'd like at this point.  Mix well.  Add the essential oil and stir, then pour into the container of your choosing.  Some people use powdered eye shadow containers, some use pill organizers, some Altoid tins, it's completely up to you and how much you are making.  That's it!  It's so easy and you don't need beeswax or anything crazy.
Personally, I'll be leaving the lipstick tint for different flavors and let this one be just clearish white.  The oil itself has a slight yellow color and looks just as you would expect a lemon oil to look like.
It also smells about how you would expect.  To be honest I was a bit surprised when the smell if it didn't blow my socks off, so to speak.  I have this 5x oil and also a regular strength oil and they smell pretty similar.  I suppose this one smells a bit more potent, but the scent isn't overpowering.  Still, it is a very strong oil and it would be best to follow the cautions printed on the bottle.
Overall, I think this oil is a pretty great oil and I'll be using it for just about everything.  I would certainly recommend it.
