#PacifyMama Teething Necklace and Bangle Set #Review

Do you know... even having had five kids, I luckily escaped a large number of typical horror story milestones.  Like reflux for starters.  I once spent some time with a friend when her baby was first born.  I was holding her, then I set her down and it was like magic, BAM!  I was covered in upchuck.  I don't even know how or when it happened, it just happened so fast.  How do you keep a baby happy if they can't keep their stomach full?  And things like allergies, though Streaker suffers a mean case of lactose intolerance now, she didn't as a baby.  Or things like separation anxiety.  I did deal with it more at preschool age, but fortunately, my kids would be held by just about anyone with no fuss.
One thing that I thought I would get away with and didn't was teething.  After three kids with no real issues, I figured we would be fine.  But Little Baby Bee turned out to be quite the chewer, though still not fussy, she did like to chew.  Then again, she was a thumb sucker since moments after birth and most likely even before then.  Just before teething set in, her sucking arm broke in a freak fluke event and she couldn't suck her thumb anymore.  So maybe her chewing stemmed from that need to have something there.  I don't know, but she definitely liked my teething necklace.
That's why teething necklaces are such a great and practical baby shower gift.  So when I saw Pacify Mama's Teething Necklace and Bangle Set, I knew it was just the thing to get a certain expectant mama I know.  Truth be told, I had also considered keeping it for my daughter, who tends to have some ADD-type attention problems.  Did you know that chewing jewelry is a big help for that?  But alas, it wasn't her style and Mama needs gifts.
The jewelry is made of silicone and are pretty fashionable looking, actually.  I love the complimentary colors and the switch up in the beads to offset an otherwise plain arrangement.  I love the beveled shape of the bangle and the sparkly gold color with the little wavy swirls of grey inside it.  It's hard to see in the photo, but they're there.
The necklace is a longer style necklace with knots separating the beads.  To be honest, sometimes the bead will slip over the knot and the spacing becomes "off", but it's so easily fixed that it's hardly worth mentioning. The silicone beads are comfortable to chew on (not that I'd know or anything... ) and are a nice size for babies.
The only thing that I will say is a little troublesome, is that the silicone material tends to pick up small fuzzies, crumbs, dirt particles, fibers, etc.  So it would be wise to look at it first before your baby gets it in their mouth or to wipe/rinse it off occasionally throughout the day.
The bracelet is a bit thick, almost cuff like and I find it would be better used if taken off the wrist and held onto.  It's smooth on the outside and has that beveled look on the outside.  I have a somewhat large wrist and this bracelet leaves little room, so if you are a large woman, this might not fit or fit well.  It would still make a great play ring for the baby to hold onto though.
For all intents and purposes, I think this necklace and bangle set is really nice.  It is a great baby shower or new baby gift.  I found in the past that teething necklaces are definitely helpful and I could see this being a great aide in both teething infants and children with attention deficits.  It's made very well and looks lovely.  I would recommend it.

These were not invented when my girls were babies but I can see why they seem to have gone over very well. I have my concerns when I think of any baby chewing on a necklace but I'm sure they aren't warranted given the popularity of these necklaces. Thanks for s great review.
