My kids have been loving the fruit infused waters that we have been trying lately. Each week I've been testing a new bottle and they have fallen right in love with the idea of fresh fruit flavoring their waters. Then (probably counter-productively), eating the watered down fruit afterward. They love the cage and they love the bottles.
Well, I've been looking into a pitcher for a while. Would it be worth it? Would the kids actually drink from it if it weren't a smaller portable water bottle? I wasn't sure, but I was interested in trying one. So we tried the 2.9 Quart Perlli Fruit Infusion Pitcher with Ice Core Rod. It's this pretty awesome pitcher that comes with both a fruit infuser basket to hold chopped fruit and also an ice column to hold ice.
The fruit infuser basket and ice core rod both screw into the lid of the pitcher. The basket is plenty big enough to hold the fruit needed for a whole pitcher of water. The ice core rod will try to float when you put it in. Luckily, the over fits on snugly, so the force of the ice and air trying to float won't be strong enough to actually pop the cover off.
What's cool about the ice core is that is doesn't have holes in it like the fruit basket. It's not going to water down any of your drinks, even if the ice melts. I would recommend this pitcher, it's doing it's job perfectly and is super useful to us as a family.
